Getting Started

1. How to Install

Click "Add to Chrome" from the official Chrome Web Store. Once installed, click the puzzle icon in your browser toolbar and pin NeverLoseIt for 1-click access.

2. How Autosave Works

Autosave is 100% automatic. Whenever you type into form fields, textareas, or attach documents, NeverLoseIt writes snapshots locally. No buttons or setup needed.

3. Finding Your History

Popup Mini-Screen: Shows the active form for your current tab.
Side Panel: Click History to browse, search, and export all recorded forms across all websites.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues & Solutions

The restore toast isn't showing up +
1. Ensure you have not disabled the floating restore toast in your extension Settings.
2. Check whether the current domain is listed under your Excluded Sites.
3. You can always manually restore at any time by clicking the NeverLoseIt toolbar icon and selecting "Restore Now", or by pressing Alt+Shift+R.
A field didn't restore correctly +
While NeverLoseIt supports standard inputs, selects, rich textareas, and file attachments across 98% of web forms, some websites use proprietary JavaScript frameworks with custom virtual DOMs (e.g., custom canvas components). If automated re-injection is blocked by a site script, you can click "View Fields" in the popup or Side Panel to copy your answers directly to your clipboard and paste them in.
I don't see history for a site I filled a form on +
1. Check your retention settings: By default, in-progress forms are kept for 14 days, while completed submissions have a shorter retention window (48 hours) to keep your database lean.
2. If you are in the Side Panel, check your scope filter at the top: Click "All Sites" to view forms saved across other websites if the current tab is scoped to a different site.
How do I exclude a site from tracking? +
Open NeverLoseIt Settings (right-click the extension icon and select "Options", or click "Settings" in the popup). Scroll to Excluded Domains, type the domain you wish to ignore (e.g., example.com), and click Add. NeverLoseIt will immediately cease tracking all forms on that domain.
How do I delete all my saved data? +
Your data is stored strictly on your device. To wipe everything:
1. Open Settings > Data Management.
2. Click "Clear All Saved Forms".
This immediately and permanently erases your IndexedDB database. You can also delete individual forms by clicking "Delete" inside the Side Panel.
